Kilenkrysset is developing its business development to achieve a new establishment strategy. In late 2025, Kilenkrysset compiled its strategic plan for 2026 and beyond. The strategic plan forms the basis for the company's long-term growth in the Mälaren region and southern Sweden. Through planned land expansion and the establishment of new business areas, conditions are created for up to
1,000 new jobs in each designated municipality. The strategy contributes to sustainable regional development and strengthens Kilenkrysset's role as a leading community builder.

The plan aims to strengthen Kilenkrysset's presence in selected municipalities around the Mälaren region and in southern Sweden. Through this investment, the company intends to promote local growth, create new jobs and contribute to a dynamic and sustainable business community.

To enable balanced establishment, the following municipalities have been identified as priority expansion areas, all with favourable conditions in the form of a growing population, good infrastructure and strategic locations:

North of Lake Mälaren
Enköping, Håbo, Upplands-Bro, Sigtuna and Knivsta.

South of Lake Mälaren
Eskilstuna, Strängnäs and Nykvarn.

West of Lake Mälaren
Örebro, Hallsberg or Kumla.

Southern Sweden
Staffanstorp.

To achieve this strategy, the company has decided to bring in two additional resources in business development: Jimmy Jansson, former Chairman of the Municipal Executive Board of Eskilstuna Municipality, and Arne Wåhlstedt, former Head of Marketing at Enköping Municipality. Both will take up their positions in 2026 as business development consultants.

– It is very pleasing that we have now signed agreements with two highly competent people. They both have broad expertise and a strong drive when it comes to establishment and growth. They will both fit well into our existing business development group, and I believe this will be both enjoyable and creative for our whole business development team, says Jan Persson, CEO and owner of Kilenkrysset.
