The property development companies Bockasjö and Kilenkrysset, through their jointly owned company, have signed an agreement with KICKS to build a new 42,000 sq m logistics centre in Rosersberg, outside Stockholm. A long-term lease agreement has been signed with KICKS, which will lease 29,000 sq m of the new logistics centre. The remaining 13,000 sq m will be leased to another tenant. Groundworks start immediately, and the new, highly automated logistics centre will be ready for occupancy in autumn 2023. The new logistics centre will be fitted with solar panels and environmentally certified under BREEAM.SE
at the Excellent rating level.
KICKS' reason for moving to a new logistics centre is to secure an efficient, scalable and sustainable logistics solution in all of the company's markets, while creating the conditions for continued profitable growth as it scales up further. KICKS' investment in the new omnichannel warehouse is expected to exceed 200 million, including a new automation solution to make handling more efficient. The new logistics centre will serve KICKS' own stores in Sweden, Norway and Finland, as well as the growing e-commerce business that sells directly to customers.
