Panattoni is one of Europe's largest developers of modern logistics properties and over the past year has established itself as a major player with several ongoing projects in the Nordic region. This week the first sod was turned for Panattoni Park Rosersberg, which, in a location close to central Stockholm, will offer a full 40,000 sq m of warehouse space in two buildings.
– For us this is an obvious location to invest in, since it is one of Sweden's best logistics locations, with a close connection to the Rosersberg intermodal terminal and proximity to the City of Stockholm. Establishing ourselves in Rosersberg is in line with our strategy of also being able to offer our customers space in more central locations, says Fredrik Jagersjö Rosell, Managing Director at Panattoni.
Panattoni attaches great importance to creating projects that meet the industry's highest sustainability standards. The project in Rosersberg is no exception.
– To reach our ambitious climate and sustainability goals, we make sure we work smarter, better and more sustainably together with our customers and partners. In all the projects we are currently carrying out, we aim to achieve high certification levels: BREEAM Excellent in Rosersberg, says Fredrik Jagersjö Rosell.
Here, the construction company YLAB is reinforcing the roof so that the area covered with solar panels can be maximised if needed. Inside, flexible modular solutions are used so that the premises can be adapted to new or additional tenants without major rebuilding. And instead of building large parking areas in advance – which future tenants might not use anyway – Panattoni is preserving and creating green spaces to make a more attractive outdoor environment.

Through good cooperation with Sigtuna Municipality and other key players, we have succeeded in making Stockholm Nord Logistikcenter grow and develop into what it is today: one of Sweden's leading logistics areas, says Ove Nilsson, Deputy CEO of Kilenkrysset.
Panattoni Park Rosersberg also plays a key role in the expansion of the logistics industry in Sigtuna. For the municipality, it means many new jobs and important revenue for the region. Olov Holst, Chair of the Municipal Executive Board in Sigtuna Municipality, took part in turning the first sod and is very pleased with the establishment.
– Naturally it is good news that such a large international company has recognised the advantages of Rosersberg. Our municipality has a unique location thanks to Arlanda Airport, and we notice that more and more companies see this potential and want to establish themselves here. We hope that the planned premises will in time become a workplace for many of our residents, says Olov Holst.
Near Panattoni Park Rosersberg is one of Sweden's largest full-service terminals, connected to the Swedish Transport Administration's infrastructure. The intermodal terminal opens up new opportunities for efficient and environmentally friendly transport between the Continent and Stockholm. The property is next to the E4, which gives fast connections to Arlanda, Stockholm, Uppsala and cities across the Nordic region, among other destinations.
