On 30 April Kilenkrysset signed an agreement for the acquisition of 650,000 sq m of raw land within the properties Malmby 2:12, 2:13, 2:16, 2:17, 3:14 and Malmby 4:12. The land area is directly adjacent to the E20 and to some of the company's existing land areas in Strängnäs Municipality. The land was acquired from the brothers Jonas and Ola Åkerman through a property readjustment agreement. The land deal enables Kilenkrysset to continue developing the expanding logistics sector and to create new jobs in Strängnäs Municipality.
Possession of the land took place at the same time as the agreement was signed, i.e. 30 April. Large parts of the land area are designated as a planned business area in the municipality's detailed comprehensive plan, which is also the purpose of Kilenkrysset's acquisition.
